Crash

I wonder how many of us crash on purpose? (This film is not to be confused with the David Cronenberg film about car crashes.) In the opening lines of the film Crash, one of the films stars states that some people just need to be touched. So there is a chance that some accidents are planned. It has always been my philosphy that when a crime is committed it is because of something we have done to someone. We may not know the person directly, but we have met. Our paths have crossed and it causes us to crash. This film is powerful. It's visual and it has a lot to say. There are many people that are confused. They are not able to convey what they feel. There are many people that don't know where their anger stems from and in the right moment we can forget our hatred as long as we are alone. When we are alone, we can step out of the box we have created. We can be whomever we want to be. We can be caring, we can show affection. Even if it is someone we thought we never wanted to show affection to. We are all dealt cards in life. The key is how we play them. Some of us play to win and others just play the game. Those that play cause a riff, that can be detrimental to many people and they don't even know it. Of course that could be the design of our lives. Check the film out when you get a chance. The stars that are attached to this film include many of my favorites. Oscar nominee Don Cheadle, rap star Ludacris, I must say Ludacris' acting continues to improve with each role he does. Larenz Tate, Brendan Fraser who I was friends with at one point many years ago. Hey we crashed, what can I say. Jennifer Esposito, Beverly Todd, Terrence Howard, Thandie Newton, Matt Dillon, Ryan Phillippe and Sandra Bullock. Thanks for stopping by. Keep an open mind.
